About the Crime Prevention Unit
Educational Outreach & Community Safety
The Imperial County Sheriff’s Office Crime Prevention Unit Coordinators are dedicated to delivering and supporting safety and prevention programs while maintaining strong partnerships with local organizations, agencies, and community members.
As the educational outreach arm of the Imperial County Sheriff’s Office, the Crime Prevention Unit works closely with schools, community groups, and public service organizations to provide valuable information that empowers residents to keep themselves, their families, and their neighborhoods safer.

Keeping the Community Informed
The Crime Prevention Unit also oversees the social media platforms for the Imperial County Sheriff’s Office. The unit creates a variety of content — from reels to informational posts — designed to keep the community informed about current events, public safety information, crime prevention tips, and community outreach efforts.
